Key Insights During the Heuristic Analysis, the insight was that although the UI of Youtube is familiar, it can still be frustrating with constant updates, new learning moments and lack of accessible design. The user research and competitive analysis further become evidence on how YouTube’s content does not convey intention, and it prioritizes quantity over quality with a lack of curation. 
To address this problem, I developed YoutubeCare. In a hospital or old age home environment, Dementia patients often need caregivers that can help with their physical and mental needs. This feature acts as a digital caregiver that lets family members access accounts remotely and can curate content, manage viewing settings and keep a watch on the accessible users needs. This helps remove the cognitive burden from the accessible user entirely, and helps them enjoy curated, easy to navigate content independently. 

For the able user, this becomes an extension to their existing account that you can switch between. You can add videos from different preferred content categories, arrange video hierarchy, customize font size, captions etc. And from the accessible user’s POV, it becomes a curated list of videos, easy to navigate hierarchy with current watch on top and an additional call button on the bottom to call you caregiver within the app or share a watch party with them.
